I am a lifelong educator.
After earning my Masters in Teaching from the University of Portland, I brought my passion for education to classrooms, one-on-one tutoring, college admisssions and small group seminars for more than 25 years.
Within Higher Education I worked at The Ohio State University as an Application Reviewer and made decisions on each applicant using a holistic model. I also validated transcripts, GPAs and coursework. During my years in Undergraduate Admissions at Ohio State I read over 4,000 essays. I have attended over 40 college tours and continue to explore college campuses and programs each year.
In 2025 I attended the Independent Educational Consultants Summer Institute led by faculty who are authors, speakers and mentors. I am currently a member of the Independent Educational Association, the largest professional organization of independent educational consultants in the world.
I am a mother.
I guided each of my four children in their application journeys to a variety of undergraduate and graduate schools across the country. They have attended The Ohio State University, University of Portland, Western Washington University, University of Dayton and Santa Clara University. They studied Aviation, Environmental Science, Geomorphology Physics, Finance and Biology.
My biggest takeaway: There is a college for everyone and, once you find your path, the journey is yours to discover.
